The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) seeks a talented professional to join as a Track Services Coordinator. This part-time position will travel to each track location to support events.

The Track Services Team Member will typically be assigned to one of the IMSA response (Chase) vehicles during IMSA events. The team member will work to maintain a race-ready track during these events. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in track inspections prior to the beginning of each day's activities and throughout the day as needed
  • Assisting in maintaining and conducting visual inspection of the IMSA on-track yellow light system
  • Responding to and actively participating in the response to accidents on-track
  • Managing on-track scenes until relieved by Chase 1
  • Pre-inspecting race facilities to ensure proper knowledge of and familiarity with the facility
  • Training for and maintaining a high proficiency of IMSA procedures and protocols
  • Training and working with the track's fire, rescue, towing, and restoration personnel
  • Inspecting and maintaining the IMSA Chase Vehicle and equipment daily
  • Attending daily Track Services meetings with the safety crews at the track
  • Attending a minimum of six (6) race events in a calendar year

The Track Services Coordinator may be asked to assume crew leadership responsibilities for a Chase vehicle. While in the role of crew leader, they will be responsible for the personnel riding in their vehicle and for all equipment on the vehicle. They will take command of on-track incidents until relieved by Chase 1.
