We are seeking a qualified Mfg. Equipment Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Anna, Ohio. As a Mfg. Equipment Engineer, you will lead, create, and implement innovative technical activities and solutions in the areas of Mass Production, Business Plan, and New Model to efficiently meet or exceed Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale characteristic targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure common understanding and direction
  • Reviewing and analyzing daily reports to identify safety, quality, and delivery gaps and developing countermeasures and root cause analysis opportunities
  • Utilizing data analysis and PDCA to lead, support, develop, and justify solutions with related groups/departments
  • Monitoring and managing equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function while minimizing operating expense
  • Developing capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences
  • Establishing priorities and making decisions based on data analytics to accomplish business objectives
  • Managing project implementation, schedule, budget, and resource allocations
  • Testing, evaluating, and implementing new and innovative technologies to improve overall equipment and process efficiency
  • Developing and managing investment and expense budgets to achieve overall cost targets

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with relevant experience (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical)
  • 6 years of experience if no degree
  • Manufacturing co-op experience preferred
  • Computer literacy with industry-standard software applications
  • Positive attitude, open-minded, and team player
  • Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Self-managed and able to provide direction for others
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong communication (verbal/written) skills
