We are seeking a qualified Cutting Tool Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Anna, Ohio. As a Cutting Tool Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and improving production line productivity and quality relative to cutting tool designs.

The role involves:

  • Leading tool budget creation, control, and analysis to evaluate cutting tool budgets
  • Coordinating daily engineering support to troubleshoot tooling problems and achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Performing and coordinating tool analysis to document and report results for continuous improvement
  • Developing and maintaining tools, tool drawings, and holders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure balanced processing and achieve manufacturing characteristic improvements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical) or related equivalent experience
  • 2-8 years of experience based on education
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad 2D & 3D, Solidworks
  • Strong presenting, written communication, and organizational skills

Working Conditions:

  • 40% office environment and 60% production floor
  • 1-2 day trips approximately 3 times per year
  • Potential overseas travel for 2-4 weeks at a time with new model introductions
  • 5-12 hours overtime per week, some weekends and holiday/shutdown work as needed
