As a Market Manager at Airbnb, you will play a crucial role in the retention, growth, and optimisation of host entrepreneurs and rising hosts in your assigned territory.
You will focus on building strong relationships with these hosts, helping them optimise their listings, improve pricing strategies, and enhance their overall success on Airbnb.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a book of business consisting of professional hosts, ensuring their retention, growth, and optimisation on Airbnb.
- Analysing performance data to identify trends and take action on opportunities that drive increased bookings and host success.
- Managing and delivering innovative supply building projects from concept to implementation.
- Securing availability over high compression dates, ensuring hosts maximise their revenue potential.
- Educating hosts on product updates and policy changes, while channeling their feedback to internal teams.
- Responding to host inquiries and providing timely, high-quality support to improve their experience on the platform.
- Developing long-lasting relationships with hosts, ensuring they receive ongoing support tailored to their needs.
- Working cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy, legal, and customer support teams.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or customer success.
- 2+ years of technology, travel, or hospitality industry experience.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of revenue drivers, emerging industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively via phone, email, and in-person.
- Highly analytical and ability to transform and interpret data into actionable insights for your hosts and the business.
- Proven experience working a book of business, driving engagement and growth through proactive account management.
- Highly goal-driven, with a strong bias for action and persistence in the face of challenges.
- Proven experience working with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, particularly working with leads and opportunities (Salesforce experience is a plus).
- Charismatic self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient.
- Fluency in English.
