Electronic Arts is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to help build networked game experiences for EA Sports titles. The successful candidate will work on prototyping, planning, implementing, and maintaining new features and technology for a fast-paced, action-oriented multiplayer sports game.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement server features, components, and services using EA's Digital Platform technologies.
  • Create and maintain client code to support features and improve multiplayer experiences.
  • Optimize client and server online systems to improve latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.
  • Design and iterate on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to stand up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.
  • Own experiences through the full stack, from UI in the game client to backend services and databases.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in C#/.NET and C++ for Unreal Engine game development.
  • Experience with multi-threaded/concurrent architectures.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL, Redis).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
