We are seeking an Electric Serviceman to support our local office in Lucedale, MS, with a focus on customer service and electric operations. As an Electric Serviceman, you will be responsible for various tasks, including setting and removing meters, supporting field collection activities, installing new services, maintaining the distribution system, performing distribution and transmission switching, restoring service, and adhering to compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Support all functional areas in local operations
- Set and remove meters

- Support marketing efforts
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects
Requirements:
- Experience in providing electric service to new and existing customers
- Knowledge of distribution construction, operation, and maintenance
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to develop skills in ARMS, DISTGIS, and Microsoft XP Office Products
- Interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and employees
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Commitment to safety and adherence to process and procedural changes
- Availability for after-hours call-outs
Preferred qualifications include experience as a troubleshooter and first responder, knowledge of substation and transmission operations, and experience working with customers and employees to solve problems.
