As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will oversee all aspects of the financial business case for specific vehicle programmes, managing, reporting, and challenging Engineering, Design, Launch, and Vehicle Line Delivery teams to optimise the return on investment.
You will work closely with teams who design, develop, and deliver future luxury performance vehicles, supporting the Cost Engineering Team and Purchasing function for new programme Bill of Material.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Business Partner for vehicle programmes, working closely with Programme Management, Functional Engineering, Design, Launch, Commercial, Cost Engineering, and Purchasing to manage performance against programme targets throughout programme gateways from concept to production
- Support the approval of budgets at shareholder level and drive accountability at budget holder level
- Manage budgets for Function Groups across Engineering and Purchasing, ensuring appropriate level of approval is obtained for capital spending and bill of material cost status
- Deliver month-end results across areas, including consistent and insightful reporting to directors, contributing to monthly management accounts commentary
- Challenge stakeholders to drive accountability, providing them with tools to track progress against financial targets and allowing them to keep within agreed budgets
- Stimulate and deliver process and efficiency improvements
- Prepare programme key performance indicator reporting across all aspects of programme profitability and present to senior leadership
- Prepare monthly internal forecasts and quarterly forecasts for input into the wider business
- Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of all spend, including insightful comparison to previous programmes
- Control and maintain live register of risks and opportunities
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACCA / ICAEW / ICAS / CIMA)
- Experience in managing and developing reporting, comfortable with large volumes of data
- Strong system skills, including SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups, Power Query, etc.)
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to work, identifying areas for process improvements and implementing robust solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal stakeholders
- Time management and organisational skills, with an adaptable and flexible working style
- A self-starter who can work independently with minimal support but can also work in a team environment
- Able to work under pressure yet deliver on time with attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident in questioning the validity of information and in offering ideas and solutions
- Demonstrate an ability and desire to progress through the business
