Ford Motor Company is seeking a dedicated Material Control Supervisor to join our Parts Distribution Center team in Houston, TX. In this vital onsite role, you will lead a skilled team, ensuring safety protocols are rigorously followed, inventory is accurately managed, and orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an hourly unionized team responsible for Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
  • Deliver objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, Absenteeism.
  • Lead, coach, and direct a team of UAW-represented employees across various warehouse functions.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team and operational performance.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of employee time worked and absences.
  • Drive the achievement of critical operational objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, and Absenteeism.
  • Engage proactively with key stakeholders, including suppliers, LTL carriers, and DDS carriers.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage personal behaviors and hold the hourly workforce accountable to established processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in supervisory roles, manufacturing, military or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts / hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
