Electronic Arts is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join the EA SPORTS FC team. As a Systems Software Engineer, you will help push the primary systems and shared engine into the future. You will work on improving performance, utility, and capabilities for players and workflow enhancements for the development team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with C++, parallel programming, resource management, and hardware architecture. You will work in a hybrid model, 3 days a week out of the EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design and other engineers to provide feedback and create technical designs
  • Provide tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet requirements
  • Ensure awareness of how technical implementation impacts performance and memory budgets
  • Look for ways to increase team efficiency through tooling or workflow enhancements
  • Contribute to core EA technologies in an architecturally sound way

Qualifications:

  • Experience with C++ language, best practices, and architectural considerations
  • Strong communication skills with non-technical partners
  • Experience with parallel programming, resource management, and hardware architecture
  • 5+ years of programming experience with a focus on C++ code
  • Experience with performance and memory profiling tools
  • Experience in embedded systems
