Job Overview

We're seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Enterprise Platform & Technology (EPT) organization at Twitch. You'll work on integrating SAP systems with AWS, building cloud-native services, and implementing agentic AI to power finance and enterprise functions.

Responsibilities

SAP Engineering (~50%)

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between SAP and downstream systems.
  • Write ABAP, SAP HANA SQL, and CDS views for business logic, reports, and data transformations.
  • Develop and maintain SAP APIs for external systems, Fiori apps, and AWS-hosted middleware.

AWS & Agentic AI Engineering (~50%)

  • Build and operate AWS-native services that extend SAP capabilities.
  • Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using CDK.
  • Design, build, and ship agentic AI systems that automate finance operations.
  • Create data pipelines to move financial data between SAP, Redshift, and enterprise applications.

Cross-cutting

  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Own production systems end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Improve engineering practices through code reviews, documentation, and mentoring.

Requirements

SAP

  • 4+ years of hands-on SAP development experience (ABAP, HANA SQL, CDS views, BTP).
  • Experience building integrations using File-Based and API-Based patterns.
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA top-down development approach.

AWS & Modern Engineering

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB).
  • Proficiency in a modern language (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily engineering workflow.

Shared

  • Experience testing and debugging APIs using tools like Bruno or Postman.
  • Understanding of OAuth 2.0 authorization flows and OpenID Connect.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Finance domain knowledge (FI/CO, FI/CA, AP, AR, GL).

Nice to Have

  • Experience building AI-powered automations or agentic workflows.
  • Experience building Fiori applications using RAP.
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA embedded analytics.
