In this position…
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the Blue Oval Battery Park Michigan network, including WAN, LAN, WLAN and Cloud. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that network services are built using robust, secure, and scalable best practices.
Responsibilities
Design and Deployment:
- Plan, analyze, and design network solutions.
- Deploy and configure various models of Palo Alto Networks campus grade hardware firewalls.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Proficient with network firewall and Network Segmentation frameworks.
- Experience designing and deploying NOC solutions.
Network Management:
- Maintain and optimize the campus and Data Center network Infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Experience managing ISP vendors in support of site backbone
Operations:
- Highly Proficient with layer 3 routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- In-Depth understanding of TCP/IP, and layer 4-7 protocols.
- In-Depth understanding of DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP management).
- Monitor network performance, metrics, and KPI's.
- Escalation point of contact for teams within IT and Operations.
- Work with 3rd parties to design and implement business initiatives.
Documentation And Collaboration:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and network engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of networking & security concepts, as well compliance.
- Ability to participate in on-call escalation processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant corporate network administration experience
- 5+ years of experience with Cisco Catalyst Center
- 3+ years Cisco Identity Services Engine
Palo Alto Network Skills:
- 3+ years of experience with Prisma Access
- 3+ years of experience with Panorama management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+years in Manufacturing experience
- Professional Certifications such as Palo Alto Network, CCNP or CCNE

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8 and ranges from $65,100-$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
