The Role
As a Senior Associate Inbound Compliance Analyst (KYC) at Carta, you will join the Inbound Compliance team, which manages the intake and resolution of KYC requests on behalf of leading asset managers and private equity firms. You will work in a high-volume, client-facing environment where accuracy, speed, and regulatory fluency are essential.
Responsibilities
- Own complex KYC engagements end to end, managing the full lifecycle from intake through delivery, and acting as the trusted point of contact for counterparties and investors navigating multi-jurisdictional compliance.
- Guide the team's standards, leading by example in accuracy and regulatory rigor, contributing to evolving the team's processes and documentation standards, and helping junior analysts develop their judgment on complex entity structures and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold the regulatory bar across multiple jurisdictions, reviewing and validating KYC documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with AML, KYC, and applicable international frameworks.
- Keep records airtight and decisions sound, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all KYC requests and documentation in Carta's systems.
- Stay ahead of a moving target, monitoring evolving KYC/AML regulations globally and applying updated requirements to daily work.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented and strategically minded, with 4+ years of hands-on AML/KYC experience and a deep working understanding of global KYC and AML frameworks.
- Confident and client-ready, able to hold your own in KYC conversations with senior stakeholders and counterparties.
- Experienced in complex legal entities, with solid exposure to corporate banking, legal services, or fund compliance environments.
- A communicator people trust, able to write clearly and speak with confidence.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI in practice.
- Prior experience in financial or legal services.
- Familiarity with KYC documentation and AML instruments.
- Knowledge of private markets structures.

Salary
The compensation range for this role is:
- $76,000 – $95,000 in New Jersey
- $85,000 – $106,000 in Seattle
- $71,000- $89,000 in Sandy
- $89,000-$112,000 in San Francisco and New York
