Job Description
A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of litigation experience to join its growing practice. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to all phases of litigation, significant client interaction, and the chance to work alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated civil and commercial disputes.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution under attorney supervision.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
- Participate in depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Assist with case strategy, witness preparation, and trial preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Review and analyze records, contracts, and other case-related documents.
- Support trial teams through hearings, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing in the applicable state bar.
- Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop as a litigator.
