🕒 Position Details
- Location: Wyndmoor, PA
- Role: Inpatient hospice unit (CNA or HHA)
🧡 What You’ll Do
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with:
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Toileting and incontinence care
- Oral care, skin care, and repositioning
- Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility
- Support patient comfort through non-medical interventions (e.g., positioning, linen changes, environmental adjustments)
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
- Assist with meal setup and feeding, as appropriate
- Provide emotional support to patients and families with compassion and respect
- Follow infection control, safety, and hospice care protocols
- Document care provided according to facility guidelines
Requirements
- CNA certification or HHA credential preferred
- Previous caregiver or healthcare experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive end-of-life situations with professionalism and empathy
- Strong observation and reporting skills
- Team-oriented mindset
- Physical ability to lift, turn, transfer, and assist patients safely
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Proof of Influenza Vaccination or approved Medical or Religious Exemption
- Employees designated to travel between sites must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
