Electronic Arts is seeking a Capture Artist to work on the Skate game, capturing footage for marketing and promotional content. As a Capture Artist, you will be responsible for capturing gameplay clips, problem-solving to achieve the best results, communicating with the lead and production partners, archiving and organizing assets, and planning and executing small to medium-sized projects.
Responsibilities:
- Capture gameplay clips from the game for use in Marketing and on Social Media.
- Problem solve to achieve the best results while working within the confines of unfinished technology.
- Communicate any issues with the lead to determine the best way to adjust capture to achieve the visual goal for the asset.
- Archive, organize, log, and manage assets.
- Plan and execute small to medium size projects.
- Daily communication with the lead and production partners on project status.
Requirements:
- Experienced gamer with a specialty in Skate.
- Proficient knowledge of both the Skate franchise and culture of Skate.
- Strong creative eye for composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
- Solutions-based self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Comfortable working from broad or evolving creative briefs.
- Technically inclined and a strong troubleshooter.
- Excellent collaborator.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong observational skills.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and features.
- Proficient in PC use and current generation video game consoles.
- Flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal and follow-up skills.
- The ability to focus on multiple projects and tasks in group settings under high-pressure.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new tools, workflows, and processes.
Additional Benefits:
- A degree in Film, Art, Design, or related field is a plus but not required.
- Experience with skate photography and/or filmography is beneficial.
- Understanding of trick selection, style, authenticity, and common skateboarding 'do's and don'ts.'
- Experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects is beneficial.
