As a Maintenance Technician at Bayer, you will be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment, rotating pre-season maintenance in the summer and repairs during the fall-spring.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting and completing maintenance on company facilities and equipment used for harvesting, conditioning, and packaging/treating
- Assessing needs and ensuring compliance with all applicable hazardous work permits
- Maintaining accurate records for all equipment and facility maintenance activities performed
- Adhering to Bayer's Health, Safety & Environmental and quality assurance/quality control standards
- Supporting sustainability efforts and continually improving to meet Bayer's goals
- Driving a company vehicle, which may include driving greater than 8,500 business miles annually
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Basic user knowledge of standard computer programs (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, tablets/smart devices)
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record
- The ability to pass a pre-employment physical and lift up to 60lbs
- Experience working days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require
- Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred qualifications include:
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using a maintenance tracking system, Excel, SAP, and PLC
- 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with chemical or row crop manufacturing experience
- Problem-solving experience
- Predictive and preventative maintenance experience
- Electrical experience
- Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication, welding, cutting, and assembly of equipment, components, and structures
In terms of compensation, employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate between $29.74 – $36.41, with additional benefits including health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
