As a Field Production Representative, you will produce seed at the expected yield, with optimal quality and cost, and coordinate the timely harvest and delivery of seed from the field to the plant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Select growers to improve production reliability by evaluating grower capability, prior performance, isolation distance, production area suitability, and optimum sowing windows.
  • Execute all aspects of contractual agreements and recommend updates to grower pricing, contract guidelines, and production strategies.
  • Lead and support field activities, including stock seed shipment and reconciliation, trial coordination, rouging, disease and weed scouting, pollination, harvesting, threshing, drying, and delivery to the processing facility.
  • Monitor production fields at each phenological stage and work with growers to adopt best practices that maximise seed yield and quality.
  • Train production workers and growers on field operations, production standards, and safe, compliant execution of work.
  • Update production yield estimates in Bayer digital platforms in a timely and realistic manner and analyse production quantity, quality, cost, base rate, and timeliness data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate timely field inspections with Field Quality teams and local authorities to secure required phytosanitary certificates for seed exportation.
  • Support the Production Coordinator with grower settlement activities and resolution of grower and vendor issues while maintaining strong relationships with growers, labour contractors, and internal teams.
  • Partner with Crop Specialist, Field Quality, and Production Research teams to implement projects that improve production reliability, quality, efficiency, and cost while ensuring compliance with SSHE, Human Rights, Business Conduct, QMS, BIO-ETS, and MARGO requirements.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree or high school diploma with 3+ years of experience in the seed industry.
  • Strong human relations and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with growers, labour contractors, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organisation and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Customer focus, innovation and experimentation mindset, and commitment to knowledge sharing and best practice implementation.
  • Process-oriented and results-oriented approach to production planning and execution.
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and alignment skills.
  • Ability to use digital and analytical tools to support production decisions and performance tracking.
  • Business insight, courage, candour, and commitment to compliance and operational excellence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • M.S. or MBA.
  • Experience leading teams or directing contractor crews.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and build effective teams while empowering others to perform at their best.

Benefits:

  • Salary between $75,600.00 – $113,400.00
  • Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation
