We are seeking an Audio Software Engineer to join our UFC Audio team at Electronic Arts. As an Audio Software Engineer, you will develop audio features, tools, and workflows with our Audio Artists, Designers, and Engineers.
You will work three days per week at our EA Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia, as part of our hybrid model, reporting to our Technical Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Build, test, debug, and maintain real-time audio features and systems.
- Improve tools and pipelines for our Audio team.
- Investigate defects and optimize memory, CPU use, and runtime performance.
- Collaborate across our teams to deliver high-quality audio experiences.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of C++ development experience.
- Experience with real-time, performance-sensitive, or game systems.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, memory management, multithreading, and debugging.
- Ability to maintain internal and third-party technology in complex codebases.
- Experience with audio technology, game development, PC, or console platforms is a plus.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted tools and critical validation of generated output.
