The Role Join EA's Create Audio team to support Battlefield development teams. As an Audio Artist III, you will create high-quality sound effects in the Battlefield Single Player Campaign and work with the development team to ensure that all audio elements are implemented and enhance the player experience. You will balance high-quality sound design with the demands of development for a major global IP.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and support the Audio Direction to create a readable, high-quality soundscape.
  • Create assets and implementation workflows that meet creative and technical aspirations.
  • Seek and act on feedback concerning your work and provide feedback within the sound team.
  • Support the game's narrative through storytelling in your audio design.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide a cohesive experience between Audio and other crafts.
  • Implement your work into the game using the Frostbite engine.
  • Contribute to creative and technical solutions to improve the audio experience.
  • Utilize your creative voice to create satisfying and original audio.
  • Refine content and its underlying logic through playtesting and feedback sessions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sound Designer in the Games industry.
  • BA, BSc, or equivalent work experience in Sound Design, Music Production, or Recording Arts.
  • Experience with Frostbite engine is a plus.
  • Knowledge of audio theory and sound design practices.
  • Proficiency with audio software DAWs such as Reaper, Nuendo, Pro Tools, Sound Forge, Cubase, Logic.
  • Proficiency with audio plug-in software such as Waves, FabFilter, iZotope, and Soundtoys.
  • Proficiency working with surround formats (e.g., 5.1).
  • Experience or knowledge of audio game development tools, such as Wwise, FMOD, or other proprietary Editors.
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge or experience with visual scripting programs.
  • Commitment to improving your skills as a Sound Designer.
  • Experience with learning and sharing to improve the Audio in our games.
